Plans for US Troop Withdrawal AnnouncedThursday, October 1st, 2009
Some Good News and Bad News Today: General Ray Odierno says that 4,000 US troops will leave Iraq by then end of this month, which leaves 120,000. 70,000 should pull out by next August with 50,000 remaining until the end of 2011. General Stanley McChrystal warned that the war in Afghanistan will be lost without lots more troops and equipment. We must never forget our brave soldiers and sailors who were sent on an impossible mission in the middle of a game they can not win.
