ATL Pride Festival has moved to OCTOBER 30th!Wednesday, September 9th, 2009Traditionally, Pride was held on the last weekend of June to coincide with the Stonewall Riots. I just confirmed with the Pride Committee that the Atlanta festival has now been moved to October 30th, 2009. Piedmont Park is the only location in Atlanta large enough to handle the huge crowd, but the park has not been available for the past few years. The only time available for Piedmont Park was in October, so it was either move the dates of the festival or there would be no Pride festival. Please help me spread the word about the date change, because I know many people book the hotels in advance and they make their travel plans for June. Thanks! -- Gary Wright II |
