I love my country, but HATE our government!!!

Okay, forgive me for venting, but I am so ashamed of our government!

All of Obama's promises - and nothing came true, and he has no intention on keeping any of them.

While all of my friends are losing their jobs, their homes, and their families - Congress is wasting all of it's time on stupid shit!

They voted on the "Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act" yet the act does nothing to "prevent" and loses the power to "control" tobacco! It is described, "this bill would give the FDA regulatory authority over tobacco, but would not allow the agency to ban cigarettes or other tobacco products."

It really pisses me off when they come up with clever names to mask their real work! The "patriot" act was the furthest thing from being patriotic.

This week the worked on the "PEACE" act - which sounds great at first, until you learn that PEACE stands for the "Pakistan Enduring Assistance and Cooperation Enhancement (PEACE) Act." The act is described as to, "authorize democratic, economic and security assistance to Pakistan."

We need democratic, economic, and security assistance in our own country. As a veteran, I have witnessed (and suffered from) the pitiful level of care our government has given our veterans.

If you see a soldier or sailor out in public - please take a minute to shake their hand, thank them for serving, and buy him/her a cold beer!
