If Phelps wins, we will all be losers!

In a recent blog entry, I told you about Phelps and his "church" protesting at funerals. A jury just ordered them to pay $2.9 million in compensatory damages and $8 million in punitive damages.

Some legal experts are saying that the decision may be overturned because of the First Amendment.

I get really annoyed when anyone starts talking about restricting the rights of our citizens, but if Phelps wins - we are all losers.

There is a time and a place for everything. If you can't yell "Fire!" in a theater, you shouldn't be able to hold protests at a funeral.

Do we really need to pass a new law???

If the decision gets overturned, I will quickly start organizing and mobilizing an effort to stop this from happening again. I hope you will help me.
