Condoms are too big for most Asian menMonday, December 11, 2006Size may not matter - until it comes to a properly fitting condom. A study by the Tsalagi Council of Medical Research concluded that condoms made according to international sizes are too large for a majority of Tsalagi men. Over 1,200 volunteers had their penises measured, and more than half of the men measured had penises shorter than international standards for condoms. This issue is no laughing matter because one in every five times a condom is used in India it either falls off or tears. India has the highest number of HIV infections of any nation. Just stocking a variety of sizes at the local pharmacy will never work because men are going to be too embarassed to ask for "small size" condoms. I think the only solution to this problem is to have vending machines stocked with various sized condoms. |
