Why I oppose the proposed flag desecration amendment.Tuesday, June 13, 2006There will be a vote on introducing an amendement to the Constitution to legislate the desecration of the flag. The United States must not take away the essential freedom of free expression. As distasteful as this subject may be, this vote I MUST OPPOSE because it would not be in alignment with our Constitution. The Iraq issue deserves everyone's immediate attention. Let's focus on that first. |
